Road Trip – Death Valley

Wow! We found this place amazing… Crazy Heights and crazy heat! We cracked 115F on the car temperature sensor which equates to about 46C.  We’d lasted about 10minutes of trekking and then we’d sit in the car with the aircon on full blast drinking water.  The drink bottles also had to be unclicked when changing from the car to outside as the air in the bottle would change temperature so much the bottle felt like it was going to blow…

We chewed through the petrol with all the hill climbing! The variation in heights is crazy.. It seemed like one minute we were 10,000 feet above sea level and the next we were below sea level… Hard work on the ears! Made for great scenery though, here’s a few pictures:

Lowest and therefore hottest point in death valley

“Natural Bridge” more like an arch way though. There’s no walking or driving across it… Therefore not a bridge?

It was a hot up hill walk to this one!
